Moving Along.....Re-opening progress...

UPDATE:

Thank you all for your continued support, patience and kind words during this continued uncertain and difficult time
.  We have now been "back"  in the building for three weeks.  We are still working at a reduced capacity, reduced hours and with a reduced team.  While this is difficult and not what we would have hoped for it is the only way we can operate under the guidelines that our governing bodies have provided us with, and while not ideal we are also grateful for the progress we have made and we are sending all our best wishes to our colleagues and friends at other practices who haven't been able to reopen as yet and are opening their doors for the first time on the 20th July and into August.

We are delighted that we have now scheduled appointments for all our patients who contacted us during lockdown with pain, lost fillings, lost crowns etc etc.  If you are a member and have an urgent problem that we still don't know about get in touch as soon as you can.  If you did speak with me during lockdown with an urgent concern and you haven't heard from us- please call me (my mobile is 07889694722 if the practice line is busy) and accept my apologies! I am reasonably confident I haven't missed anyone but would like to make sure!

This week we have been contacting patients who had treatment postponed during lockdown and getting those appointments sorted! Again if you had treatment planned before lockdown and you haven't heard from us yet do get in touch- we are only half way through this list so we haven't necessarily missed you, but you might as well ring us when it suits you than wait for our call!

We expect that next week we will be able to start reappointing routine Dental Health Checks and Hygiene visits- anyone who has missed an appointment with Rachael because of COVID will receive a double length appointment.  Until the UK is at risk level 2 Rachael will be using hand instruments. We have invested in plenty of new hand instruments and they have arrived (hand instruments are a little like toilet roll and pasta at the end of March)  so we are delighted that these have arrived, we are ready to go and can continue to offer a Hygiene service.  While the health benefits and outcome are the same, using hand instruments takes longer than the ultrasonic, so if you are coming in to see both the dentist and Rachael back to back it would be wise not to park in a one hour spot!  You are welcome to ring and book these appointments- alternatively we will be working through our membership list and ringing you!

At this time we are still unable to accept new patients or see children for routine care-

Kind Regards on behalf of the team,
Naomi Bingham
